Where should i begin?

When it comes about "BEER"... (and i will try to not sound like a snob, because i really love to taste beers from all over the world) GRUT has one of the best ones i had the opportunity to taste in Moscow so far now.

But GRUT is not just about “BEER”, it’s more than a cool place to hangout with friends or family, for me it was a great experience, got the chance to actually see how they made the beer i was drinking and enjoying later with the company of some cool Flampers that i had the pleasure to met there.

Everything was well organized. Irina (Flamp) and Nikita (GRUT) took care of every detail, the place, food, drink and attention.

Now i would like to mention that i never wrote a review like this one before but i would like to share my thoughts and reviews about the GRUT experience (or how i named it).

PLACE: Comfy, very big with different atmospheres to experience all kind of emotions, music was good (can be better), decoration was dazzling (made me remember to some ecological steampunk type of style – specially because of the lamps -) There’s even a place for kids! So i would not say it’s a bar for singles, your family will have a great time in a much more familiar zone of the bar.

Loved the bar decoration in general, the windows (old cabin style), bathrooms taps decorated with cooper and walls with pieces of fine pine tree, even the stunning Japanese bike they had that looked so much like a Harley Davidson from the old 80’s.

SERVICE: Even tho we just tasted a little piece of their menu, the chips were great (recently fried), the peanuts were fresh and the dry meat was my favorite (Kudos to the one who had that idea). All in all the service was more than good.

The only thing i did not liked was that the glasses did not match the occasion (for beer tasting, small glasses must be used), yet the Director of GRUT (Nikita) was very open to suggestions and even asked questions about bar kind of food in Argentina (where i’m from). If anyone would like to know a little more about how they made 100% crafted beer at GRUT, he can explain it with no problem (the man can actually talk for an hour and keep you interested at the same time! Congrats to him for being very well prepared).

I was lucky to have my wife near me to office as my Russian translator, therefore i was able to comprehend everything about the crafting process of the beer. (Kudos for Neli too xaxa).

BEER: Some where malty, others coffeeish-rustic, flavor was sometimes sharpy other times bright and grapefruity but everyone where very fresh (the six types i got the chance to try). Fermentation was belgiany (if i remember well). My favorite was the Lager type, because it was light and rich and tasty (made me remember so much to a Kölsch I've tried before) so i highly recommend this one.

I don’t even know how to express my happiness for having the opportunity to be part of such an interesting and very illustrative event. Big thanks to FLAMP and GRUT for the opportunity, it was a pleasure for me.
