The worst experience in my life.

I know i don't speak Russian so well (but i can say some words and remember new ones also).

Was preparing some chicken wings in the house and decided to buy some potatoes at Burger King, at this moment i never knew that this was going to be the worst experience in my life sadly.

I knew i have to ask for 2 fries to...

The worst experience in my life.

I know i don't speak Russian so well (but i can say some words and remember new ones also).

Was preparing some chicken wings in the house and decided to buy some potatoes at Burger King, at this moment i never knew that this was going to be the worst experience in my life sadly.

I knew i have to ask for 2 fries to take away (in Russian "dve kartoshka fri s soboy" and i even made this sign "✌️" that means "two") - by the way there were a promo 2x1 for fried potatoes.

So far now i thought all was going all right, then the girl in the cash register asked me if i wanted to take something more, started naming stuffs from BK menu, salads for example, and all the time my reply was "net, dve kartoshka fri s soboy pozhalusta" then she charged me 90 rubles of 1000 that i used to pay for the fries.

Then i was waiting for my order to come out, when everybody around me were getting their order... so there it was, a "salad", alone in that table order waiting for someone for several minutes, so i came to the guy in charge to give the orders and showed him my number, and he said in Russian, "this is yours", i instantly changed my face and started to got nervous, and said in English that this wasn't mine at all, i specifically said "dve kartoshka fri s soboy!" so he was looking at me confused, called "the manager" and guess what! The manager was the girl that took my order :D

What a funny and weird surprise, so we had this conversation "Broken Russian/English", and why do i say "broken"? Because despite i can't speak russian i can understand more word that she thinks and i knew she wasn't Russian to begin with, and i would like to mention this because in the end of my review i will come up to a conclusion that I'm sure you all will find out reasonable fair.

So continuing with the story, she apologized, and gave me those 2 fries, asked me money and i gave her all the change she gave me from my 1000 rubles (Here's my error - i should have not gave her any!), she charged me back and gave me 350 rubles in exchange, and i was so upset that i just grabbed the money and leave.

When i came back home i started to tell to my wife what happened there and she asked me to show her how much they have charged, when she saw the change (350 rubles) she was furious and she said, we're going there to clear things now!

We went there and started to discuss with the "Manager" of Burker King and she was saying that i was lying, that i paid her with 500 rubles instead of 1000 rubles. What an idiot! She doesn't even know how to do maths!

Let's imagine this for one second! if I payed her with 500 rubles and she game me back 350 rubles that means the fries that costs 90 rubles in the INVOICE, really costed me 150 rubles?

Seriously FLAMPERS, i have no words, if she can be a manager, everybody can be.

Even a 10 year' old kid can do that math! Come on!

So going back to the story: I payed with 1000 rubles for 2 friend potatoes of 90 rubles total cost and she gave me 350 rubles as change.

Of course we were discussing and after she called me a liar, after she said that i ordered a salad when i didn't because i usually don't eat salads, and sorry Burger King but i get a salad someday it won't be from you guys, i'd rather prepare it on my own.

Anyway, security came and i requested "The camera" because i know that up in the cash register there's a hidden camera that shows the money when everybody pays.

She agreed and went with security and WITHOUT ME AND MY WIFE to check the computer images.

(It's wrong Burger King, if I ask for the camera i have to see it too, you think i will trust in the Manager? I wasn't wrong she was a liar after all).

She came back and said I payed with 500 rubles, and we insisted that WE wanted to SEE the images.

A security came out and said "It was 1000 rubles, the billet is green, they are right".

After that she gave us our money back.

But was that necessary? Keep a lie until the end risking your job and integrity as a Manager? She does speak for Burger King because THEY put her there and they should downgrade her as soon as possible.

What do I get out of this experience?

1) Burger King should run some exams before promoting someone who's not Russian to Manager, she must speak Russian well. This "Manager" could not even hold a conversation or reason with my wife, that speaks Russian of course.

2) I'm a foreigner and to live such experience in a foreign country and specially with a well known international company such as BK broke my heart and made me change my mind about Burger King, and trust me when i say that i loved BK over MC Donald's, but now MC Donald's won my heart.

3) I will not go back to any Burger King anywhere in the world.

Shame on you Burger King!-

  • What a good reason to start learning russian.

    Lack of facts and too many emotions in the story (no name of this manager, no bill).

    Be aware, nationality discrimination is prosecuted in our country.

  • There's no need to name the manager, or put the bill, i just shared my experience. If i have to do something against this manager i would do it outside this site, i was the one discriminated, not her of course.

    There's a place for everything, this is just for sharing experiences and reviews of places where you go.

  • клевета и афера тоже так-то подсудное дело.

    Все могут ошибиться и неправильно дать сдачу, но когда после просмотра камер тебе в лицо нагло врут и говорят, что была купюра в 500 рублей, это уже переходит все границы. Менеджер должен защищать права потребителя, даже в Макдональдсе когда клиент сам разливает колу ему беспрекословно наливают за счёт заведения новый стакан, ибо клиент всегда прав и они дорожат репутацией заведения. Мне же на мою жалобу в пренебрежительном тоне ответили: а что ты тогда сама не пришла? (ТЫ???- чтоб менеджер так разговаривал с клиентами недопустимо ни в забегаловке с чеком в 50 рублей ни тем более в крупной сети, как мне казалось раньше, следящей за своей репутацией компании, оказалось, что им начхать)

    Дело даже не в том, что неправильно дали сдачу, а в том, что даже не извинились повели себя очень некрасиво, нам просто швырнули деньги.. если это политика Бургер Кинга, то мне очень жаль их.
